The Constitution Education Fund Australia has has a long term aim of improving education anbout and understanding of the Australian Constitution.

Many years of hard work by Constitution Education Fund Australia came to fruition on 9 April 2018 when the Australian Constitution Centre was opened in Canberra by Chief Justice Susan Keifel at an event to which I was honoured to be invited and privileged to attend.

The Australian Constitution Centre exhibition and website (which will go live soon) explores the history and application in Australia of six foundation principles of the Australian Constitution:-

Democracy
The rule of law
The separation of powers
Federalism
Nationhood
Rights

The material is presented in a colourful and entertaining way which outlines some of the major cases decided by the High Court of Australia since the founding of the Commonwealth of Australia. Whilst presently aimed at school years 5 and 6 students, it is open to the public and will, in time, attract a broader audience.
